Photographic Works of Kelly Drown

Kelly Drown > Plasma art creations - shooting a Plasma ball at close range. Everything is real except the water and reflections in the water, which was added in Photoshop using Flood Effect for a more dramatic picture.
Kelly Drown > One of those wonderful fall shots here in Oklahoma. The water was added later with Flood Effect in photoshop for a more dramatic photo.

Kelly Drown > This started out with photographing a plasma ball at close range using the Canon 80-200 L at 200mm, ISO 100 and f13 for good dof. Six second exposure blurs the electricity and allows me to control where the current lfows. In this case, my finger on the top of the glass caused the current to flow upward. After that, I used a little creative photoshop work to add a "smoke" on top, a light flare from the brightest source, then a water-like foreground with reflection to top it off.
